You never felt confidence Until you've felt doubt You never felt real love Until long without True joy comes After lots of pain The sun is always the brightest After the rain

We may not pull through everyday But there's no one around so there is no one to say Together we're bonded stitched at the heart It would be pretty hard just to rip us apart Our minds are connected, divided we're dust You stitch all my gashes wounds and cuts Wherever it hurts you somehow I bleed You're deserving of things that I can't always reach And if you turn another page Make sure to write my name No one holds the key to your smile But still I search everyday Just know that's in my misadventures And wrong ways I can take And if I die in my sleep someday I hope you find it anyway I see through your vision you see through mine Sometimes you can do things I cannot define In memory drowning your words are my raft I thought I was over you fixed what was past Tossed you a ring I will never regret There's no turning back and I don't give a shit People they come and people they go But I'm staying right here you're all I really want to know And if you turn another page Make sure to write my name No one holds the key to your smile But still I search everyday Just know that's in my misadventures And wrong ways I can take And if I die in my sleep someday I hope you find it anyway

Sappy Trees 03:58
Before you arrived I was dying in the sand Drained in the desert a withering plant You've always been one to keep flowers alive Watered me daily and helped me survive I know you are beautiful and you won't see You only put water and love into me I grew and regrew you snipped off the bad You gave me some seeds and then you called me a dad You watered with love I guess you did it too much I grew too tall and fell out of touch I've drained you of water and so have your seeds We used your resources and are killing a tree You could in this ending have left to the forest To find a new tree to help you to flourish I wanted to save you and all that I want Is to always repay you not in gold but just love I'll water you daily I'll trim off the bad You were a beautiful mother but now we are sad Through storms and Tsunamis through wild forest fires We can't be burned up and we will not expire Until we are old and we grow to a whisper Until we're forgotten or rotten and withered Our bruises will heal but stay a reminder We've grown through it all stronger and wiser I can't grow without you I can't live and be I want to grow with you for others to see And when we are old our seeds will remember Our fruits will be eaten our rings will end here Some will make ashes and soil when perished We can make paper for others to cherish Our fruits will make colors our roots will make covers We'll be here forever for poets and lovers From keepsakes and photos to letters for others For more beautiful children with beautiful mothers See there's reasons to grow though you don't see the sky We'll stay here forever even when we die So before we grow old and before we grow wiser I promise to help you to grow even brighter Through winter and summer and all of the weather Two trees together forever and ever

Blank Paper 02:15
Broken down structures beaten and done Now I can write it as I want Let's just paint it as we would like It won't take long and it'll pass this time Be careful for the cup can spill Move it away or some others will We don't need to start again Let's keep at this part again My mind is overwhelmingly on overdrive today I cannot dream as much when I'm not this wide awake Tomorrow leads into another A masterpiece that we can master Move the walls remove the ceiling Paint some colors to match good feelings The long hard road is slowly erasing We'll have a full pallette so let's stop pacing The time is now our world awaits A gallery in both our taste My mind is overwhelmingly on overdrive today I cannot dream as much when I'm not this wide awake I painted a dream to share with you Where nobody knows us or cares what we do A place we will go when tomorrow's today In the middle of nothing where it's all our way I'm listening in and taking some notes I'll get this right or damn near close Can't wait to turn the page and drift and make the best of all the pieces we left My mind is overwhelmingly on overdrive today I cannot dream as much when I'm not this wide awake My mind is overwhelmingly on overdrive today I cannot dream as much when I'm not this wide awake

about

This is my wife's birthday present for August 2023. She liked a lot of the old metaphoric poems I'd write so I decided since money has been tight this year that much like a poem I wrote her for last Valentine's Day (Sappy Trees) she'd appreciate this even more. She ended up getting a physical gift after all.

She has wanted me to use my voice in songs for ages, serious not the other stuff, and for this occasion I'd like to dedicate all the songs to her. This marks my very first serious vocals ever put up on the internet, so have mercy ;) If you like what you hear, I'll probably be recording a full album next, with various subjects and themes, and even more old poetry shaped into songs, they're just not love songs like these.

I have a feeling I will start to make heavier stuff and the theme of the album, Organized Chaos, will be various stages in life.
